This Organic Honduran is grown by members of the Café Organico Marcala, S.A. (COMSA) cooperative in the region of Marcala, within the department of La Paz Honduras - one of the rare but perfect climates for growing some of the country’s best coffees. This is a fully washed coffee, partially sun dried and part mechanically dried. COMSA has a brand-new production mill and this year are offering some of their most stellar coffees.
Variety: Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra, Lempira, Pacas, and Typica
Altitude: 1400 – 1700 meters

Process: Fully washed, sun and mechanically dried

The COMSA Cooperative in Marcala has over 640 members. They are located in the department of La Paz, inside the growing region of Marcala. Fully washed, partially sun and partially machine dried, they produce some of the country’s best coffees. COMSA renovated their wet mill last year and began using it for this year’s production. The cooperative and its members demonstrate innovations in organic farming and continue to significantly increase the participation of women within the organization, which has resulted in a successful women’s group that has established their own organic farmers market.
